Once again The Big Gift Foundation would like to thank all of you for all the support and encouragement in our initiative of helping the less fortunate of the society...God bless you all

We would like to thank and acknowledge lots of people who made a difference in the lives of the kids we are supporting who were very happy to receive gifts from them especially Prof R.S.S Mani and Associates for School Bags, Stationery and Umbrellas.

Some of our friends also pitched in with their donations and generous gifts...thank you guys and may Jesus bless you all…

I would like to thank people who came forward to help Ketan, a 14 year boy needing growth hormone injections...his treatment was started from last week, the family need Rs12000 p.m for his treatment for 1 year, if you wish to contribute for his treatment please do get in touch with me..The cheque can be given directly in the company’s name so do call me if you wish to sponsor his medicines.

There is a dear friend of mine…Ms Nilima Jadhav who runs an NGO-Uttakrash-The Awakening for the kids who have never been to school, they give informal education to these lovely kids…they need teachers/volunteers for their centers in Mankurdh and Nerul. Please call me or Nilima on 9820733598 if you wish to volunteer as a teacher or contribute towards teacher’s salary-Rs3-4000 per month. You can also donate clothes, books, or toys for these kids…

Please do support us in these causes which will make a difference in our society and our country will really SHINE…

We will not be able to apply for tax exemption certificate this year(we need to complete 2 years) but from the next financial year we will be able to give tax exemption to all our donors..please continue to support with your monthly contribution of Rs200(min) to whatever amount who wish to give…God Bless

I will start with a very good news...Out of those 10 street kids, 4 kids have reached Goa.they will be studying in Bethesda Life Center, Goa where they lives will be changed forever.The remaining kids will also be going soon.
Please visit www.blcgoa.com for their work. We still need sponsors for them who will take care of all their needs. I will post their pictures soon. You can also get in touch with Wesley -9930033486 who has taken responsibility for these kids if you wish to contribute or gift things to these kids.

We still have some of our kids who need sponsors this year. They need footwear and uniforms also. Please get in touch with me if you wish to contribute for their needs. Here are few of the kids needing your support... Kajal/Rahul/Anmol ages14/13/9-Studying in Swami Vivekanand school Marathi medium, dahisar-they need Rs 2300/- (for all of them) per month for tuitions and their school fees is around Rs 600/- for the full year. Their mother is HIV+ and works as domestic help and father also HIV+ is alcoholic and jobless.

Ruksana is in 8th std in municipal school needs Rs300 p.m tuition fees ,comes from family of 6 brothers/sisters. She is the eldest and also works from home. Making jewellery/ picking up scrap. The family is very poor.
Shubham-Physically and mentally challenged kid studying in special school needs Rs 300-500/- for his physiotherapy classes. His father is a carpenter n mother is a domestic help.
Sharon /Augustine Fernandes-They are raised by their single mom who works as a salesperson and finds their fees difficult to manage.
Sagar- mother is a widow and a vegetable vendor in IC Colony. He needs Rs2500/- tution fees for the full year and Rs 600/- as school fees.
Bahadur Watchman’s two sons-studying in St Francis School, IC Colony needs help in tuitions.
Preeti-10 years and her 3 siblings. Needs a home to live they need education and ration every month, their widow mother earns around Rs600/-

We are very happy to share this news that most of the kids that we are supporting have passed with good marks...and by god's grace,we were able able to pay their fees on time through our generous sponsors..

We have started our initiative of getting these kids and some more who are coming in "SPONSORS"-and their time and love..last year we were successful in getting sponsors for most of these children..these sponsors not only paid their fees but some also bought new school bags, stationery for them..so this year we again want to do this with your support.

The exact number of kids that we are planning to sponsor will be ready by end of this month. If you wish to come forward and sponsor these kids please get in touch with me. You can also sponsor their school bags, water bottles, stationery,uniforms.Since June is the month of rains most of these children would love to have a new raincoat/umbrellas and sandals.

I am really grateful to everyone and especially to GOD for allowing us to take this initiative of helping the less fortunate, a reality.

Now some more good news...Ms Lata Nair-The trust was helping her from May, 09, she finally has a place of her own, in Kandivli East and a job.. If anyone wants to donate household articles to her, please call me.

Archana, she is a widow and mother of 4 kids, she is really very poor and the trust helped her to get a job in Bindi making factory where she earns Rs 900 per month. But we are supporting her in her monthly ration and medicines. If anyone wants to donate toys, books or clothes for her children, please call me.

Now our main focus for these couple of months is raising funds for the kids we are supporting or may be supporting in future. They need new uniform, school bags, stationery, shoes and school/tuition fees. We need people to help us raise funds for these cause or please do get in touch with me, Anil or Berlyn.

I will start with good news...last month we spoke about Ms Lata Nair, a homeless lady who overcame cancer but struggling to get back to her normal life because she didn't have any job to support herself, she got the job as office helper in Natsun Technologies, Kandivli east…

Then there was another case of Soni, a cancer patient who needed Rs 8000/- for her chemo, we were able to raise money for her, her chemo is delayed because she is too weak to take it... Her family is very poor and is not able to buy monthly ration so we have decided to help them, if anyone wants to help her by buying ration or clothes please get in touch with me...

Thanks once again for supporting us in our cause of helping the less fortunate…

God has been gracious enough that money kept pouring in throughout Jan for these families…

I am very thankful to Jesus and all of you for always being there for these families

 

I am writing a few lines about the families we help out on regular basis... Please do read it...

1. Lata Nair.she is a homeless well educated, cancer affected lady who lives outside Tata hospital, parel...The trust gives her Rs 1000/- every month for her basic needs...She needs a job and a place to live. Please help her to find a job so that she can look forward to living a respectable life.

2. Monica-she is a 2 year old kid from Dhule, suffering from cancer in stomach, her parents are daily wage laborers who are very poor and are living on streets outside Tata Hospital, they need money from time to time for her medicines and food till her operation in Mid Feb...

3. Soni- she is a 20 year old girl suffering from bone cancer who regularly needs 12000/- for her chemo...she lives in Sion with her jobless parents, she often goes without food for days.

4. Jyoti- she is young mother of 9 year old Mahesh, she is a HIV patient, we provide her basic ration and pay fees for her son every month...she is a widow with no job.

5.Kursa-an aged lady who lives in a pathetic condition in a chawl in Sion Labour Camp, she needs a good home to live , she is abandoned by her 3 well settled daughters living in Mumbai, we buy medicines and ration every month for her.. she deserves a better life at this age.

These are just few cases that I am mentioning who needs your help , please do call me if you want to help  them in any way, these people also need a good life like us ,,Don’t you think???
